The issue presents the results of theoretical and empirical studies on the relevant problems of meteorology: verification and global analysis of numerical precipitation forecasts; characterization of jet streams in the Southern Hemisphere; identification of adverse meteorological conditions for pol-lutant dispersion using machine learning models; retrieval of wind vectors from the Arktika-M MSU-GS/VE satellite instrument visible channel data; analysis of the spatial structure of the Siberian High; characteristics of atmospheric turbulence in Perm; assessment of the internal structure of tropospheric waves over the tropical Atlantic. The section of agrometeorological forecasting presents a method for 10-day assessment of the contribution of agrometeorological conditions to the ex-pected productivity of winter grain crops.
All papers contain important scientific and practical results that can be used in modern methods of hydrometeorological forecasting. The issue is interesting both for specialists and for a wide range of people studying hydrometeorology.
