Hydrometeorological Research and Forecasting, no. 1 (383)
"Proceedings of the Hydrometcenter of Russia"
Edited by E.S. Nesterov, Doctor of Geographical Sciences
The main features of the temperature regime and atmospheric circulation in the Northern Hemisphere in the summer of 2021 are considered. Based on aerological, satellite, radar, and synoptic information, the conditions for occurrence of an active atmospheric process with severe convective phenomena in the Moscow region on June 28, 2021 are analyzed. The features of precipitation distribution on the territory of Azerbaijan are studied for three periods: 1881-1960, 1961-2016, and 1991-2016. Based on the hydrodynamic model, the characteristics of sea ice in the northern Caspian Sea are calculated. The technology for short-range forecasting of water level in the southwestern Bering Sea is described. The system of wind upwelling forecast for the Russian Black Sea coast is presented. Optimal periods for sowing winter crops on the territory of Belarus under conditions of modern climate are determined. The experience of weather services for international sports and cultural events is summarized.
