Hydrometeorological Research and Forecasting, no. 1 (379)
"Proceedings of the Hydrometcenter of Russia"
Edited by V.M. Khan, Doctor of Geographical Sciences
The main section of this issue covers scientific and practical problems discussed during the 19th session of the North Eurasian Climate Forum such as: a brief overview of the activities of the of the Arctic Regional Climate Center Network, the Arctic Climate Forum, the Regional Climate Centers of WMO RA VI network, and the results of the User Forum of Regional Climate centers 2020; the skill scores of the consensus forecast for the summer of 2020 for the territory of Northern Eurasia with the analysis of large-scale atmospheric circulation is discussed; some extreme meteorological events at seasonal and intraseasonal time intervals in the context of climate change are discussed; a brief description of the progress on the implementation of the technology in 2020 for calculating long-range forecasts based on the multiscale version of the hydrodynamic atmospheric model PLAV072L96 has been given; an overview of the observations and studies of the ozone layer carried out in Russia during 2017?2019 is presented; the possibility of creating a specialized seasonal forecasting system with assessment of the impact of large scale anomalies of meteorological elements on the economic spheres is discussed. The journal also includes articles devoted to the study of the conditions for the emergence of tornadoes over the Black Sea; the influence of autumn soil moisture on erosion-accumulative processes in the Krasnoyarsk forest-steppe; assessments of potential damage from hazardous and unfavorable meteorological phenomena on the territory of the Russian Federation. The section "discussion materials" provides information on the relationship between the extremes of lunisolar tides in 2021 with changes in weather.
The issue is designed for specialists, researchers, postgraduates and undergraduates specializing in hydrometeorological research and forecasts.
