Hydrometeorological Research and Forecasting, no. 2 (376)
"Proceedings of the Hydrometcenter of Russia"
Edited by A.R. Ivanova
The present issue of the journal contains papers with the results of research in various fields of hydrometeorological science. Most of the issue deals with the diagnosis and forecasting of deep convection and cyclogenesis using satellite and radar data. The numerical modeling of processes in the ocean is represented by the results of verification of model simulations of waves in the Gulf of Ob. The paper describing meteorological conditions for the formation of the severe flood in the Amur River basin deals with studying extreme hydrological phenomena. Urban meteorology is represented by the analysis of features of the heat island over Saint Petersburg. The “Discussion” section present discussions on the influence of gravitational forces in the Earth-Moon-Sun system on the formation of surface temperature anomalies. The issue ends with the review of results of the 18th Session of the North Eurasian Climate Forum (NEACOF-18).
