Summaries - (PDF)

The results of studies in different areas of hydrometeorology are presented. The diagnosis of development and movement of the zone of active convection over Belarus and central Russia in July 2016 is provided. The method for the satellite monitoring of tropical cyclones based on data for 2005–2015 is considered. The results of the comparison of model simulations of air pollutant concentration with automated measurements in the Moscow region are presented. The technique for the long-range forecasting of the date of average daily air temperature crossing 10°C in the Saratov region is developed. The hydrological section presents recommendations on the observation network optimization by example of the snow route network in the Upper Volga basin as well as a new method for the short-range forecast of runoff for large rivers. The section of marine calculations and forecasts describes the mechanisms of atmospheric circulation impact on ice conditions in the North Caspian Sea. The results of short-range forecasts of the Azov Sea level obtained with the hydrodynamic model for March–November 2017 are discussed. The wave energy flux is analyzed by the wave modeling in the Kara Sea in 1979 to 2017. The climatic section is represented by the paper considering the concept of climate services in the health sector of the Russian Federation.
